What people need to understand about this book is how incredibly taboo this story is in the (relatively) open Moroccan society. A Moroccan friend of ours and several of his friends were taking turns reading his copy out loud- in the home office, with the blinds drawn, eyes darting about nervously. This wouldn't be shocking in his native Tangier- but this was in South Austin!!

Sounds like an interesting and enlightening book. I shall have to put it on my list.

Don't forget to check out The Giver. Short book, but well worth reading! I've also read Hillary Clinton's autobiography. Good insight into the White House and just how hard it is to be in the public spot light like she was while Bill was President.
